PARAMEDIC IV - Emergency Department

Overview

Presbyterian is seeking a Paramedic IV in the Emergency Department, you will be responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Responsible for prioritizing the delivery of direct nursing care using time and resources efficiently integrating a standards-based framework model.

Qualifications

• High school or GED plus trade or vocational school in paramedicine.
• Current NM Paramedic License required. Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions is required. 2-5 years of experience as a paramedic preferred. Current CPR and ACLS is required. Ability to type 20 wpm preferred.
• ED/UC: Previous EMS Dispatch experience preferred. 2 years ED patient care experience including triage experience preferred
• Associate's degree (any field of study) AND 10 yrs. of direct patient care Paramedic experience OR Bachelors degree (any field of study) AND 5 yrs of direct patient care Paramedic experience
• BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire.
