Entry-Level Medical Laboratory Tech

We are immediately hiring for a Medical Laboratory Technician / Medical Technologist to perform testing on patient samples in an outpatient hospital laboratory. This role will primarily perform testing on blood samples, but may include urinalysis and some other testing as well. This role will also include performing some phlebotomy on patients, but prior phlebotomy experience is not necessarily required.

We are open to candidates with either an Associates or Bachelors degree in a medical laboratory science field (MUST have the degree in a Medical Laboratory Science or related field). Candidates can be entry-level with just a recently completed degree, or can have experience. Pay is based on experience (can potentially be more flexible for candidates with extensive experience).

Job Duties:

  • Perform medical laboratory testing on outpatient samples.
  • Perform phlebotomy to help collect patient samples as needed.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Document test results and communicate results to necessary personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology OR Bachelors degree in Medical Lab Science (or a similar/equivalent field)
  • NO requirement for ASCP certification

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.86 - $32.86/hr.
