Kurtz has been a family owned company since incorporation in 1977, originally founded with one ambulance by Karl J. Kurtz, whom today still remains the Vice President of the company. In the company’s infancy, there was originally one ambulance available to assist local area fire departments with their call volume.
Today, there are more than 65 ambulances servicing major metropolitan regions and hospitals. We have always maintained and deeply ingrained our motto of “the difference is we care” into our culture and everyday operation here at Kurtz.
