Cardiovascular Technician Jobs in Ithaca, NY
A Cardiovascular Technician, also known as a Cardiovascular Technologist, plays a vital role in the med tech industry by assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating heart and blood vessel ailments. They primarily perform non-invasive procedures, such as electrocardiograms (EKGs), stress tests, and Holter monitoring, while some specialize in invasive procedures, such as cardiac catheterizations. Before stepping into the role of a Cardiovascular Technician, a person may have roles like EKG Technician or Medical Assistant. Some may also start as Registered Nurses or Radiologic Technologists, gaining experience and specializing in cardiovascular technology.
