Cardiovascular Technician Jobs in Murrells Inlet, SC

A Cardiovascular Technician, also known as a Cardiovascular Technologist, plays a vital role in the med tech industry by assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating heart and blood vessel ailments. They primarily perform non-invasive procedures, such as electrocardiograms (EKGs), stress tests, and Holter monitoring, while some specialize in invasive procedures, such as cardiac catheterizations. They are also responsible for preparing patients for procedures, monitoring patients' heart rates, and maintaining and operating heart monitoring systems.

A Cardiovascular Technician should hold a certification from either the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Some may also start as Registered Nurses or Radiologic Technologists, gaining experience and specializing in cardiovascular technology.
