A Sleep Technologist, also referred to as a Polysomnographic Technologist, works in the med tech industry and specializes in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders. They carry out polysomnographic tests to study sleep patterns in patients, evaluate and interpret these studies, and provide treatment recommendations. They are also responsible for maintaining the equipment used for these studies, as well as managing patient care. They work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, sleep clinics, and research facilities.
